Mr Dilip Paudel has gathered vast experience of working in development and media sector for a long time. Working for different projects at the district level, Paudel is skilful in preparing strategic plans, implementing projects and coordinating with stakeholders. He has worked in projects on human rights, education, health and HIV-AIDS for national and international organisations.
Specialising in human rights including child rights and women’s rights, Paudel is a Former President of Baglung branch of Human Rights and Peace Society. He coordinated human rights campaigns in the district for Amnesty International Group-48. A Right to Information campaigner, Paudel is active on lobby and advocacy efforts for good governance, transparency, press freedom and human rights. As a Programme Coordinator for Ama Milan Kendra, Paudel gathered extensive knowledge and expertise on women’s rights.
Paudel has facilitated many capacity building training programmes and has participated in training and workshops on report writing, training of trainers and leadership training. For training, workshops and meetings, he has visited various parts of Nepal as well as foreign countries like Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal and India.
As a journalist for last five years, Paudel has worked in print, broadcast and online media outlets. Currently affiliated with Nagarik national daily, Paudel has produced investigative pieces on political, development, rights-based, financial and cultural issues. Graduate on Sociology and Anthropology, Paudel has provided scores of journalistic training to enhance local journalists’ capacities.
Currently he is a board member of the organisation.
