Anti-corruption Expert Advisory Committee meeting for the project “Strengthening Citizen Engagement in Anti-Corruption Efforts (STREAC)” was held on 15 December at Centre for Media Freedom (CMF) office, Kupondole Road, Lalitpur. The meeting was attended by members of the Advisory Committee along with CMF and Development Communication Society-Nepal (SODEC) representatives.
The meeting focused on informing Committee members about progress in project activities and requesting them for inputs for TV and Radio programmes for citizen awareness.
Project Coordinator Prakash Ghimire briefed the members about SODEC’s TV and Radio programmes and their impact on common people. He requested members to provide potential subjects for future TV programmes.
Some of the subjects suggested by the members were contractors’ lethargy in road-repairs which has caused health hazards to people due to dust, lack of drinking water supply, noise pollution and all kinds of petty and grand corruption in different sectors.
